My graphic design and digital imaging work led me to printmaking, where I have used my interests in compositional devices from commercial page layout to make formal fine art compositions. My interest in typography has transformed into personal mark-making and my interest in photographing nature eventually developed into more abstracted landscapes. I am influenced by the work of Wassily Kandinsky, Hans Hoffman, and Helen Frankenthaler. I create marks using a variety of techniques, including drawing, traced rubbings, material splashes and original digital textures. I use a variety of printmaking techniques in my work, including silkscreen, collagraph, and lithography.
